Amazon is selling the second-generation Polaroid Go instant camera bundled with a 16-photo film pack for $71.99, below the camera's standard retail price of $109.99. The tension: the camera sold alone currently lists at $4 more than the bundle, a pricing anomaly that puts the included film pack at a negative implied cost.
The case for the bundle is straightforward math. The Polaroid Go Generation 2 retails at $109.99 as a standalone. A separate film pack typically runs $21.99. Together, the bundle at $71.99 sits well below either figure combined. Both are available on Amazon.
The Go 2 is built around a reduced form factor. Its film runs 53.9mm x 66.6mm, shorter and narrower than the classic Polaroid format of 88mm x 107mm. Polaroid describes the smaller size as suited to bulletin boards and wallets, prints intended for a pocket rather than a frame. The body charges via USB-C and, by Polaroid's specification, the battery supports up to 15 packs of film per charge. At 16 photos per pack, that works out to 240 exposures before a recharge.
The counterargument is the format constraint. Analog instant photography draws much of its appeal from the large, tactile print associated with classic Polaroid cameras. The Go 2 shoots on materially smaller film, and that is a deliberate design tradeoff in favor of portability. Buyers who want something closer to the oversized classic print will find this camera does not deliver it. The Go line is explicitly a compact product, marketed toward road trips and casual use rather than display-quality output.
On balance, the pricing structure does the arguing. A film pack that typically sells for $21.99 on its own is included in a bundle that undercuts the bare-camera price by four dollars. The line to watch is whether the camera-only listing adjusts. At $71.99, the 16-photo pack comes at no additional charge relative to buying the camera alone.
